"Made in Tennessee: Manufacturing Milestones is a traveling exhibition organized by the East Tennessee Historical Society in Knoxville, Tennessee. The exhibition project was made possible through an educational grant from the Alcoa Foundation to highlight Tennessee's manufacturing story - past, present, and future. The grant was awarded in honor of Alcoa Tennessee Operations 100th Anniversary and the announcement of its automotive expansion project on May 2, 2013. Additional support comes from the Tennessee Valley Authority. Made in Obion County Exhibit is in addition to the Made in Tennessee: Manufacturing Milestones. Guests can learn about the local impact that industries had and continue to have in this area. Discovery Park of America is adding a section dedicated to the manufacturers in Obion County, including: Blue Steel Tool, Inc.; KMI; Blue Steel Tool & Die; MIA Seating; Darling Ingredients; Premier Buildings; G & H Tool & Die; Reelfoot Metal; Green Plains; Titan Tire - Fleming Fabric & Wire; High Note Solutions; HTS Mixing; RPG Physical Testing Labs; Greenfield Products; Tyson; H & O Tool & Die; Waymatic; Jiffy Steamers; Williams Country Sausage"

November Business Matters WLJT TVWLJT loves the Obion County Chamber! Monica Cochran, General Manager and CEO of WLJT, and I were so pleased to be able to support the chamber and sponsor the November Business Matters. We enjoyed sharing information about West Tennessee's public television station with fellow chamber members. We answered questions about programming and why WLJT is not on satellite in Obion County. It all comes down to the way the FCC decides what television market each station is aired in. But it's important to remember that we are still West Tennessee's public television station, and we rely on your support! WLJT is in your local schools, WLJT is at The Obion County Public Library and WLJT is active in your community. We help encourage a lifetime love of learning by brining special educational events that show children that learning IS fun!
