For their July meeting, members of Young Professionals of Obion County gathered at the Chamber on the evening of July 25. Jennifer McClure with Simmons Bank gave a presentation titled "How to be appealing to employers during the hiring process." Food and Drinks were provided by Simmons Bank.
For their June meeting, members of Young Professionals of Obion County came out to Hometown Walk of Hope on June 8. The group sold V.I.P. wristbands at the gate in an effort to raise money for Walk of Hope. Those who purchased the wristbands received discounts on food and were entered in a drawing to win front row seats to the Darryl Worley concert later that night. YPOC was able to raise over $1000 for Hometown Walk of Hope.
The Young Professionals of Obion County met on May 30 at The Pavilion at Houser Creek. Representative Bill Sanderson provided a legislative update and encouraged the group to stay informed about local and state government because of the vital role it plays in their everyday lives.

The Young Professionals of Obion County (YPOC) had their monthly meeting on April 24th at the Obion County Chamber of Commerce. For this Professional Development session, the group enjoyed hearing speaker, Al Oliver, with Union City Insurance. The group of 20 men and women in the Obion County Community had great discussion on the future of Obion County and they part they play in that.
The Young Professionals of Obion County celebrated their first official year as an organization! With over 40 members, 4 professional development sessions, 4 networking events, and over 20 hours of community outreach, YPOC had a great first year! Our next event is Tuesday, March 27th, so mark your calendar. More details will be available closer to time.
The Young Professionals of Obion County had their meeting on January 25. Chad Davis with Davis Wealth Services sponsored the night and gave a presentation titled: "Financial Planning for the Young Professional." We had a blast learning several savvy financial tips and tricks for our generation! Thank you Chad!
Thursday, August 31st, the Young Professionals of Obion County had their first fundraiser at Don Sol Mexican Grill! Thank you to everyone in the community that came out to support YPOC. We are ecstatic to have to wonderful community support. We look forward to growing our presence in Obion County and keeping our communities great!
On July 27th, the Young Professionals of Obion County members were in for a treat! Melissa Halsell, Program Manager, Young Talent Vibrancy and Community Livability, with TVA came and spoke to YPOC members about their impact in Obion County.
